The Hamilton Museum

wood-type.jpgAn amazing step back in time... to the beginning of the 135-year-old history of Hamilton Laboratory Solutions.

The Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum is the only museum dedicated to the preservation, study, production and printing of wood type. With 1.5 million pieces of wood type and more than 1,000 styles and sizes of patterns, Hamilton's collection is a premier wood type collection!

The museum, at 45,000 square feet, is no doubt one of the largest fully functional wood type workshops in the world. Thousands of visitors who come through this museum every year get to see
how wood type was originated and is still cut today; plus students, artists, typographers and designers take
workshops and actually use the museum's collection to create works of art.
